It can be used for short training, internship and/or study mobility abroad. <br/> [[File:Square_yellow.png|10px|link=|baseline]] During the virtual phase, participants from different countries and fields of study collaborate online on activities integrated into their study programme. This participation may occur before, during or after the BIP. <br/> [[File:Square_yellow.png|10px|link=|baseline]] The physical component takes place in a Higher Education Institution (HEI) holding an Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE). <br/> [[File:Square_yellow.png|10px|link=|baseline]] BIPs must include at least 10 students, excluding professors and staff involved in running the programme and students from the host institution. Students from the receiving HEI’s country may participate (without counting towards the minimum), but organisational support is only provided for those from the European Union. <br/> [[File:Square_yellow.png|10px|link=|baseline]] Academic recognition: A minimum of 3 ECTS and a maximum of 6 ECTS are awarded after completion.
