Objectives

• Set up a UNITA Graduate School (GS) that proposes interconnected learning programmes from the master level to the doctorate level
• Definition of standards for the award of the UNITA label for Master/PhD programmes
• Develop interconnected master and doctoral programmes targeting alliance thematic areas through research-based academic, practice-oriented and industrial-based training

1	Collect and chart current master and doctoral training activities.	Collect and chart current master and doctoral training activities (in the partner institutions and in a sample of other organisations), subject-specific (in the alliance focus areas) or horizontal, in particular those that tackle challenges of immediate relevance to communities and regional development. 2	Define standards for the eligibility of learning programmes for the UGS.	Define standards for the elected UGS programmes to award them the UNITA label. The elected programmes elaborate on existing courses in alliance focus areas and include subject-specific trainings validated by the alliance research hubs. They are designed following the EU principles for innovative doctoral training (for both the master and doctoral levels) and include mandatory mobility. Agree on actions to develop and inter-connect partners master and doctoral education programmes, such as joint "doctoriales", summer schools, "My three-minute thesis" competition, etc. Define the selection process of the UGS candidates considering the HRS4R principles. Promote the enrolment in the UGS master programmes among the alliance and the GEMINAE network. Refine existing PhD co-tutelles schemes. Apply to Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (Cofunds, Doctoral Network) and Erasmus Mundus joint master programmes.	(M5-M15)
3	Progressively implement the UGS in the UNITA focus areas.	Identify strengths and weaknesses of the implementation. Assess attractiveness and impact of programmes, procedures, and inter-connectivity of the UGS. Rely on the GEMINAE network and beyond to intensify dissemination of the UGS programmes. 1) Who are the stakeholders benefiting of the task’s actions?	Faculty, students, administrative staff, and researchers across all UNITA partner institutions. Enhanced opportunities for interdisciplinary research and international collaboration.	To check with the T5.1 list

Having more PhDs (with a strong culture of interdisciplinarity) on topics such as Cultural Heritage, Green Energy, etc., will shed light on key societal issues.
