Objectives

• This Task is focused on identifying and/or developing tools for ensuring the financial sustainability of the alliance, as well as increasing the success rate in third-party funding through systemic cooperation on complementary project proposals.
• Aim of the task: Ensure the financial sustainability of the alliance by identifying the UNITA activities and initiatives that generate potencial income and valorising multiple sources of financing, and implementing a new economic model for the alliance:

A5.2.1 Update the UNITA Sustainability Plan	Introduce new partners to the UNITA Sustainability Plan from the pilot phase. Pool existing fundraising strategies, calls in other countries, and potential collaboration areas. Organize a 2-day workshop with 3 sections: Section 1: Lessons learned from UNITA 1 Sustainability Plan and constellation projects. Section 2: Fundraising strategies, synergies, and income sources. Section 3: Open discussion and conclusions. Preparation (3 months), execution (1 month), and post-processing (1 month) supported by UNITA Offices. A5.2.2 Define the economic model and common financial methodology	Prepare and carry out a workshop on UNITA Financial Sustainability. Conduct surveys and interviews. Analyze results and use them to update the UNITA Sustainability Plan. Disseminate findings and methodology.	(M1–M10)
A5.2.3 Set up and run the UNITA Project Engine Office	Create the UNITA Project Engine Office within the Legal Entity to support financial sustainability through: Consultancy for funding Project scouting Support in project applications Development of fundraising campaigns Alumni engagement Leverage internal tools like the research cartography (Task 4.2) and ecosystem mappings (Task 4.1). Provide specifications to the Legal Entity to ensure alignment with UNITA’s needs.	(M11–M48)
