Within which research activities will be conducted jointly around an identified program. These emerging centres will embed inter-territorial interfaces (T4.1) shared infrastructures (T4.3) and graduate schools (T4.4) and will operate "outdoor" or/and with physical location. They could give rise to European and national labels of excellence, such as the IRL label of the CNRS in France.  +
To enable researchers work, in priority on multi-partner projects, and also to address gaps in infrastructure, making proposals for longer-term solutions, involving national, private and EU funding. Set up an interactive user-friendly platform for infrastructure sharing in the UNITA inter-university digital campus to create a UNITA "scientific marketplace" and facilitate matchmaking partnerships, including training on infrastructures use. Implement and test the procedures for the systemic sharing of services and infrastructures and granting mutual access to facilities.  +
Define an alliance mobility strategy and action plan composed of a series of UNITA mobility actions fostering mobility as a structural alliance feature (M12). Implement and test each of the mobility actions on a small scale by dividing partners into focus groups, then share good practices and extend involvement to each partner.  +
Collect, share, and analyse the activities and achievements on European citizenship developed in UNITA phase one and introduce the new partners to them.  +
The catalogue contains all the UNITA labelled micro-credentials and is meant as a tool to support the personalisation of the study paths and reskilling and upskilling of lifelong learners. It will be hosted by the UNITA inter-university digital campus (Task 3.4)  +
Chart the current state of play of teachers training offer within the alliance.  +
We will define the main features of the UNITA label and disseminate it to the community for application. Following the European strategy for Universities, the UNITA label will be in line with the recommendations from the pilot phase on the European degree label (see call ERASMUS-EDU-2022-POL-EXP) such as Multilingualism, Innovative learning approaches, Flexible and embedded student mobility arrangements".  +
To reach an integration of the areas of research capacities into the shared UNITA corporate identity. The widening process will integrate in the network the facilities provided by Associated Partners and GEMINAE partners.  +
To strengthen the UNITA economic model, a joint structure, UNITA Project Engine Office, will be created within the Legal Entity, as a new common structure among member universities for systemic cooperation. Its effort will be focused on consultancy, on identifying alternative funding sources, on finding and classifying different calls (project scouting) and on the development of fundraising campaigns. This will include consultancy services by UNITA experts in various fields; partner searching to streamline consortium building using suitable databases (e. g. cartography of research, Task 4.2, or local ecosystem layouts, Task 4.1); connecting external financing opportunities with the education, research and innovation within UNITA; and identifying the needs for lifelong learners and the update of the UNITA micro-credentials offer (Task 3.2). The opportunities created by companies or institutions interested in supporting the innovative solutions provided by the partner universities will be made available to our community. Also, stimulating the Alumni communities to contribute to maintaining the level of excellence of the UNITA European University is another focus of this activity. In the first months of operation, the UNITA Project Engine Office will be supported by a consulting/training service provided by a highly qualified expert in the field of Higher Education strategic fundraising opportunities, selected as sub-contractor following public procurement procedures.  +
Create a UNITA Inclusion and Gender Equity Plan (UIGEP) based on similar plans existing in each University and on the outcomes of the WP3 RE- UNITA project developed in the first stage. It will be harmonised with the European Charter for Researchers and a Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers. The universities should share experiences about their strategic plans and the tools they use for their implementation and disseminate the results to the academic community. One meeting per year will be organised to promote inclusion and gender equity.  +
Producing a report for the QEB. Support the QEB in the production of the annual report with recommendations for the Governance Board (GB). Monitor the implementation of the corrective actions decided by the GB and evolve the quality assurance requirements and plan accordingly. Repeat evaluations emphasising identified areas of improvement. Evaluate and realize the independent assessment given by an external European Evaluation Agency, accommodating modifications in the interest of improvement. Draw lessons from the implementation of the quality assurance plan integrating best practices based on an inventory, mapping of the main QA processes on teaching, research, and public engagement.  +
Focused on sharing best practises and creating new knowledge to advance the teacher training domain. Disseminate to other alliances and universities.  +
The new partners have been associated with the project's activities since June 2021, resulting in an easier and shorter acquaintance process.  +
For the new partners and adapt the existing ones in order to ensure the continuity of the alliance construction, the project management and the operational coordination at alliance level.  +
This action plan, aligned with the European green deal, and shaped by widely accepted and state-of-the-art metrics for universities, will define the main actions and initiatives with a potential impact on the green sustainability of UNITA. It will suggest sustainability and energy efficiency topics to be introduced into the curricula, promote sustainable mobility as an alliance priority, and seek to create a culture of sustainability in the UNITA community. In addition, it will discuss measures to reduce carbon footprint and energy consumption within UNITA, and present possible targets.  +
Create a culture of sustainability in daily life, education, research and innovation. Different events, round tables and debates will be organized, including common events such as the "UNITA Day of Nature" , Challenge- based / Hands-on Workshops staff weeks, sustainability hackathons, or the "Sustainable Campus" Contest for the most innovative idea on how to make campuses more sustainable. In cooperation with Task 2.1, student organizations promoting sustainability will be connected.  +
To involve UNITA students in the research and dissemination of European Citizenship, we will recognize the work done by the students and the output of the UNITA curricula by yearly delivering prizes for Bachelor's degree or Master's degree dissertations and organizing audio-visual contests illustrating the students' approach to EC and identity.  +
We will chart and connect the educational programs, services, and activities that UNITA universities run in cooperation with public authorities, regional clusters, companies, and NGOs. This will include upskilling and reskilling programs for companies, in line with the European Skills Agenda, challenge-based education programs and competitions (including industry- driven bachelor and master thesis), and internship allocation services. This connection will lead to cooperative, shared, or joint programs and activities, including in particular the facilitation of Erasmus Internships in local companies for students of partner universities.  +
We will continue connecting and sharing incubators and accelerators for start-ups and spin-offs, as well as entrepreneurship promotion and training programs, seminars, and mentoring. A special emphasis will be placed on the incorporation of the new members of the alliance to the network and on the development of inter-territorial teams and entrepreneurial projects.  +
In order to establish networks of researchers, making visible their expertise within the alliance and at European level. Organize joint actions to create new thematic hubs to strengthen the impact of the alliance on its territories and beyond, to involve more researchers of all partners, according to a process of co-creation between partners and their stakeholders. An analysis of the publications of all the partners will help identifying scientific themes to which the alliance can contribute significantly in terms of critical size and excellence. Matching events will be organised to define within the academic communities the new joint research projects, and to strengthen exchanges with the partners of the UNITA ecosystem. Accompany the development of the Hubs by a common organizational design based on previous best practices. Each Hub will organize workshops during the project, both on-line and face-to-face, open to socio-economic partners.  +
