Identify strengths and weaknesses of the implementation. Assess attractiveness and impact of programmes, procedures, and inter-connectivity of the UGS. Rely on the GEMINAE network and beyond to intensify dissemination of the UGS programmes. Study potential enlargement of the UGS of other research areas. +
Organise career tracking of students participating in the UNITA mobilities during the first two years to assess the impact of mobility (together with T5.4). The impact on the career will be measured two years later. The European Graduate Tracking Initiative of the European Commission will be used as a reference framework. +
Matching with the ambition of developing a model of European University. Internally disseminate the strategy to all actors and in particular to the Quality Assurance Boards of the partners. Benchmark Quality Assurance strategy and practices with other European Universities by organizing and participating to mutual learning workshops. +
The new partners of the alliance will be introduced to the UNITA Sustainability Plan developed in the pilot phase. The existing fundraising strategies of partners, existing calls in other countries and potential synergies and areas of collaboration will be pooled as well. +
This activity follows the path laid by the UNITA Citizen Science (U-night) project. Coordinated with the rest of the networks, the scientific dissemination community will support inter-territorial citizen-science initiatives, share services, and promote science shops, living labs, maker and coworking spaces, and other science dissemination tools. +
A board established by the Task Team and approved by the Management Committee will assess the project reports and select the most impactful ones, which will receive a consolidating grant to keep working on the idea for a second year (M42). At the end of the period, the report on progress and impact will be updated. During the whole implementation phase (M18-M42), Task 5.2, in cooperation with the legal entity, will look closely at the projects and identify calls from which additional funding can be obtained to fully develop the ideas of the group. +
To exchange good practices, raise issues, propose solutions and present the UNITA model of institutionalized European University. Particularly two in presence biennial meetings with GEMINAE partners, possibly in parallel with a major international event (such as EAIE), will be organized (M23, M47), also for the granting of the Best Practises Award. Discuss in a forum or workshop with the European Commission, the National Authorities, and other Alliances the role, the governance and the mission of European Universities. Interact with European Associations of Universities, and especially those focused in UNITA themes. +
Operational functioning is defined by a shared document (UNITA Management Guide) that will be updated from phase one of the project, allowing each UNITA contributor to work efficiently and in the respect of UNITA criteria. Specific digital tools for project management and for creating a knowledge base in an agile framework will be developed. A model for the UNITA Data Warehouse and a methodology of data collection, processing, storage and analysis will be developed in order to allow the monitoring of UNITA, on the basis of indicators coming from the different Tasks and WPs and to ensure the quality policy of the project (link with Task 5.4). Train all key actors for the implementation of the project management processes and tools through communication and functional support to successfully implement the changes. +
A mobility window is a period of mobility (either long or short, physical, blended, or virtual) embedded into the curriculum of a study programme. It implies an agreed set of learning activities fully recognised by the partner Universities. The MW benefits from digitalization of student mobility processes (EWP and European student card). We will identify a sample of study programmes on which to implement this mobility opportunity. +
Identify people, organizations or groups that can be positively affected by UNITA at local, regional, national and international levels. Identify stakeholders interests, motivations, and priorities. Identify stakeholders role and level of influence. Define strategies to engage relevant stakeholders and keep their attention constant. Publish map online. +
Pool and enhance existing resources (online courses, materials, experiences) and best practices. This network is essential to share the existing actions and resources each University already has, and the new ones created specifically for UNITA 2. +
Identify criteria which define the label according to the personalized, multilingual, international approach and the territorial needs. Identify existing modules to be transformed into micro-credentials and micro-credentials that could be awarded a UNITA micro-credential label. The UNITA label will be included, depending on the public, in the UNITA diploma supplement, Europass or the European student Card. +
Fully integrating new partners and involving students and staff, and associated partners. Confirm processes of nomination, election and rotation for all governance bodies and operational units. Communicate nomination, election and rotation schemes with academic and administrative staff as well as internal and external stakeholders involved. Analyse current governance practices at partner and alliance level as regards the execution of the alliance missions in education, research, innovation and service to society, possibly benchmarking with other alliances. In cooperation with the Student Assembly, collect and analyse data for the comparison of the regulations and electoral systems of all the partners of the UNITA Alliance with the aim to implement tools (in cooperation with T3.4) that encourage and facilitate the democratic participation of all students in the decision-making processes within the Alliance itself with potential transformative impact on each partner. Specify innovative areas for enhancement through the first discussions of strategy plans. Implement, test and adjust governance processes to balance continuousness and innovative impulses. Share test results as well as intended adjustments with students, staff and stakeholders before implementation. Regularly assess legal and operative synergetic potential of governance processes and accommodate them under the principle of operational jointness. +
Promote organisational innovation from within the universities, by encouraging staff and students to take an active role in the development of new ideas and decision-making, aiming at re-engineering the management processes. This will improve motivation and commitment, as well as increase creativity and entrepreneurial spirit within UNITA universities. Define organizational innovation models in UNITA universities, with a focus on the areas of Human Resources and services and elaborate an instrument to evaluate it. Build an action plan based on a diagnosis of the level of innovation in each University. Following the outcomes of the first phase of UNITA regarding the management of the Alliance, in particular about the models of recognition of mobility for staff, we will promote meetings among the HR managers and offices heads to disseminate and implement the organisational innovation model and the action plan. One meeting per year will be organised. +
Define the UNITA strategy for teaching enhancement and the teacher training offer. Build a common training model. Select the most relevant topics and skills for the teacher training from the analysis of teachers' needs carried out in UNITA Teaching & Learning Centers Network during the pilot phase and in the ConnectUnita project which looks at the university of the future from the digital and pedagogical transformation perspective. This selection will be based on a needs analysis, in particular to improve the teachers' competences in the challenge-based and STEAM approaches, and to support them in the development of the UNITA teaching activities (BIP, Virtual mobility, UCIL and micro-credentials). +
An economic model will be co-created and further embraced in the UNITA legal entity used as a tool to channel and manage third-party funding. This economic model will guide the development of a common financial methodology correlated with the European policies. In the case of applications to common projects, clear procedures and requirements will be defined to be considered a part of the "UNITA Constellation" . Other lighter cooperation paths, including projects participated by UNITA members, agreements, consultancy, and any other financial source will be also defined. Particular attention will be paid to the UNITA micro-credentials and other educational activities and training for lifelong learners (Task 3.2), as well as to the opportunities and needs detected in the interaction with the local ecosystems ( Task 4.1) +
Carry out a survey of activities, content and formats carried out in the first part of the project. Identify any gaps in the communication developed in the first phase. Share and integrate Communication Officers' work methodologies with new partners. Identify possible new communication channels. +
By identifying existing and launching new UNITA learning opportunities, integrating them into the existing curricula based on a continuous update of the UNITA course cartography and facilitating their automatic recognition, also using the opportunity of the Flexibility window introduced in local curricula during UNITA first phase. Improve the model through the learner's feedback. +
Establish a collaborative activity with the communication departments of each partner. Harmonization of the format and use of identity marks of UNITA and respective members. Promote the use of inclusive and positive language. Create narratives that create empathy. +
To enhance UNITA's contribution to the academic work on European Citizenship, we will transform the one-day conferences (UNITA phase one) into a joint multi-annual program of conferences exploring the different meanings of European identity, citizenship, and values. The proceedings of the conferences will be published as an output of this work. +
